The Caille Model 79 was the first and simplest of the Red Head Singles. It was made it 1932-1933.

The easiest way to identify an early Model 79 is by the very fragile curved exhaust tube. This was recognized as too fragile and transitioned to the cast end some time in 1933.

That changed design became the Model 88. It was not only much stronger but better looking too.

Neither the 79 nor the 88 had a variable pitch prop. They were both 4 hp.

The model numbers represented the price of the motors.
